How to use ExtraAEdge College-Branch Predictor Tool for choosing best option in MT-CET 2013 Engineering Admissions

Imagine the plight of engineering aspirant in Maharashtra – there are more than 350 engineering colleges affiliated to 11 different Universities offering more than 80 different courses. In addition, there are other constraints which a student has to take into consideration like his Category, Gender and Home University and most important his MT-CET or AIEEE score. Every student needs to fill up an application form specifying his choice of options based on which he will be allotted a College-Branch combination. An important factor to be considered while making these choices is the trend if the cut-off marks will be lower or higher as compared to last year.

To help the MT-CET 2013 students address this career defining problem, ExtraAEdge.com launched the MT-CET College and Branch Predictor. Here’s how you can use this powerful tool to make sure you enter the best possible choices in your application form and secure the best College-Branch combination you are eligible for:

Step1: Register and Login (from top of page click Individual tab) on ExtraAEdge.com. You can also login using your Facebook or Google+ account.
Visit MT-CET College and Branch Predictor Application page and enter the criteria you would like to search the data for. The criterion marked in * is mandatory and you can change the criteria number of times to see results for different options.
Note that you need to enter at least one University and one Branch of your choice. If you enter multiple choices for University or Branch; the system will consider all these choices and give you a options based on them.

Step2: System first calculates if the trend of cut-off marks is going higher or lower as compared to last year and displays the calculated variation based on pre-defined logic.

Step3: Results are divided in two parts. The first part displays the options which are higher than the cut-off marks (after normalizing based on trend).
These options should be ideally used by a student to be filled in the mandatory section of theapplication form since there is lower probability that the student could get these options based on his score. The results can be seen in descending order of the CET/AIEEE marks as seen below:

Step4: The second part displays the options which are lower than the cut-off marks (after normalizing based on trend).
These options should be ideally used by a user to be filled in the non-mandatory section of theapplication form since there is higher probability that the student could get these options based on his score. The results can be seen in descending order of the CET/AIEEE marks as seen below:

Step5: You can Print the results or Save them in pdf/xps format on your computer for later reference.

Step6: You can also ask your questions to Discuss with Experts page.

Wish you all the best in choosing the best possible College-Branch combination for your Engineering studies.
